Institute Financial Planning Considers Models for a Mercy Family Budget
A primary focus for Institute financial planning is creating a sustainable financial future for the Mercy family.
With the guidance of the Institute Leadership Team and the Institute Leadership Conference, small subgroups of
the Institute Finance Team (IFT) have been creating, formulating and reporting creative solution options to the
whole group for evaluation.
During the month of January, the IFT is meeting with several subgroups, each working on options and
recommendations for designing common budget practices for the Mercy “household” and fresh approaches for
creating abundant resources for the Institute.
Imagining the Institute as a household, a new ad hoc group met on
January 7 to bring forward thinkers from diverse backgrounds to spawn ideas related to living in an
environment of distributive justice.
